sold out

Dimensions: approximately 18" diameter x 4" high

Wood Species: Flaming Box Elder

Detail: A dramatic natural form in box elder, this “kettle”-shaped bowl glows with reds and grays that are entirely natural to the wood. Measuring 6½ inches high and 10 inches wide, it’s an organic centerpiece that celebrates raw texture and subtle flame-like color.

Maker Notes: John captured bark on both front and back, preserving the tree’s rugged exterior, while the carved top edge shows delicate color rings and swirling grain.

Notes: This piece should not be displayed in direct sunlight because over time it will fade the vivid colors.

Care & Use - All pieces are food safe. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Use common sense with live-edge areas—avoid foods with dressings or sauces that can seep into the wood. Whole foods such as fruit, nuts, or bread are perfectly fine.
